Yale Pathways to Science - The Evolution of You: Investigating Human Evolution through Bones and Stones

On Saturday, February 8, the Yale Pathways to Science program offered students an in-depth exploration of human evolution through the lens of biological anthropology. Guided by Yale experts, participants delved into questions about the lives and behaviors of our primate ancestors and the journey of human evolution. Through hands-on activities and engaging discussions, attendees gained a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be human, examining the fascinating connection between bones, stones, and our evolutionary past.

Yale Pathways to Arts & Humanities - A Repository of Black Knowledge Architecture Exhibition and Workshops

In celebration of the A Repository of Black Knowledge exhibition, the Yale School of Architecture (YSoA) hosted an interactive workshop exploring both the discipline of architecture and the profound legacy of Black alumni at Yale. The event featured a day of engaging tours, insightful talks, and hands-on workshops, where students were introduced to the fundamentals of architecture, including model making, drawings, collaboration, and presentation. The workshops also highlighted the rich history and contributions of Black alumni at YSoA.

‘Snowball’ brings community together to celebrate students and their future

New Haven’s Fair Haven School on Friday played host to the 16th annual “Snowball” assembly, the yearly gathering shines a spotlight on the school’s Kindergarten through 8th grade students, promotes  college and career aspirations, and celebrates the Yale-funded New Haven Promise scholarship program.
 
On hand for the high-energy event were a wide array of city, state, and university leaders, including Yale President Maurie McInnis — “All of Us,” as the theme had it, attesting to the communal effort to give every child the opportunity to achieve and grow.

Pathways to Arts & Humanities’ inaugural Yale Singing Workshop Series hit all the right notes!
 
Students joined members of Yale’s Whim ‘n Rhythm for an unforgettable session, learning to harmonize and beatbox to bring songs to life—without instruments! From blending voices to mastering their own parts, participants ended the day singing alongside the senior women’s a cappella group. Whether shower singers or seasoned vocalists, everyone found their voice in this hands-on workshop.
