Event Description:
What do snowflakes, coastlines, lightning bolts –– perhaps even the large-scale structure of the universe –– have in common? They are fractals: shapes that reveal hidden layers of complexity, even repeat themselves, as you zoom in. Join the Yale Society of Physics students to learn about where fractals appear and to use a little bit of math to take a closer look at nature’s works of art.
