Event Description:
Did you know you can’t hear anything in space? Do you know how your ear works to hear things? Have you ever wondered how sound travels through different materials before reaching our ears? Learn all about sound and its properties through activities with every day items like slinkies, salt, and rubber bands. There is a lot to know (and hear!) about sound!
The mission of Girls’ Science Investigations is to motivate, empower, and interest girls in developing the skills they need to pursue careers in science, but all are welcome.
Open to students in grades 6-8
