Event Description:

Have you ever wondered how birds fly? What about airplanes? Join Yale Aerospace in this hands-on workshop to find out. You will get the chance to build your very own mechanical bird and airplane — learning about lift, thrust, drag, and weight along the way. No previous experience needed. We’ll show you how to do everything. Aerospace engineering is a lot of fun, and it is for everyone: By the end of this workshop, you will be able to call yourself an aerospace engineer!  Note: this event involves sending home a Schylling bird kit and a Guillow glider kit.

OPEN EXCLUSIVELY TO PATHWAYS SCHOLARS IN GRADES 6-8.  Registration required at onha.yale.edu/rockets.
