Science on Saturday: How do animals remember? Using microscopic worms to understand memory

Come for an unforgettable lecture where you will learn from Prof. Daniel Colon-Ramos how scientists use microscopic worms, jellyfish proteins, and colorful lasers to discover how animals remember. The Colón-Ramos’ lab is interested in how synapses are precisely assembled to build the neuron architecture that underlies behavior. To investigate this, they developed tools specially designed to accurately identify how new synapses form. Science Saturdays is an award-winning lecture series designed for families that brings the excitement of research and the passion of scientists to the community. Each event involves a lecture by a Yale professor and hands-on science demonstrations run by Yale College students.
