*POSTPONED*
To help prevent transmission of COVID-19, Yale is currently canceling or postponing all Yale-hosted events until further notice. We will be updating this website and calendar frequently as new information becomes available.

Shake, rattle, and roll is the action for today as we learn about the forces that move the earth’s crust. Have fun with “Seismic Slinkies”. Then, build an earthquake proof model house that can withstand the force of the Yale SHAKE table! Snacks and lunch will be served.
The mission of Girls’ Science Investigations (GSI) is to motivate empower, and interest girls in developing the skills they need to pursue careers in science. University students and professors act as mentors and provide a context for exploring and understanding the various disciplines of science through hands-on activities in a laboratory environment. Through student scientific-engagement and parental awareness, GSI strives to close the gap in science found between males and females today.

Girls’ Science Investigations is limited to 6th to 8th grade girls. Pathways Scholars receive priority, but any middle school girl can join! Lunch and snacks are included. Registration required at gsi.yale.edu
