Online: Exploring Science with Yale Scientists: Measuring Atoms, Black Holes & Dark Matter

Event Time:
Tuesday, June 2, 2020 - 2:00pm
Location:
Zoom instructions will be sent to those who register. See map
Event Description:

Join us for a weekly online discussion with scientists about the subjects they love! Learn about their pathway to science, their field of interest, and how in the world they actually study it! From particles to planets there is so much to explore! Each session will involve a short, engaging talk by a rock-star graduate student, a compelling science research poster presentation, and plenty of time for Q&A. The week of June 2nd, we will discuss how we can use quantum circuits to measure atoms, and how high school physics can lead us to learn about black holes and dark matter.

Open to students in Grades 6-8. Registration to open on May 28.
