Meet-A-Scientist with Chemistry Prof Nilay Hazari: Making Valuable Materials from the Greenhouse Gas Carbon Dioxide

Event Time:
Saturday, March 6, 2021 - 10:30am to 11:30am
Location:
Zoom instructions will be sent to those who register. See map
Event Description:

Join us to meet Dr. Nilay Hazari, a chemistry professor at Yale!, Every year, humans produce 43 billion tons of carbon dioxide, which absorbs heat and causes global warming. Dr. Hazari has been developing ways to use this excess carbon dioxide to make valuable materials like fuel and plastics! Register now to learn more about this frontier of chemistry! Hosted by Yale Synapse, an outreach arm of Yale Scientific Magazine.

Open to Grades 6-12. Register at onha.yale.edu/meetascientist.
