Event Description:
Discover the untold stories that have always been central to Yale and New Haven history. Installed at the Schwarzman Center, this powerful exhibition spotlights Black community building, resistance, and resilience across generations — through nearly one hundred historic images of Yale’s earliest Black students from the 1800s and early 1900s, many deeply connected to New Haven.
The Schwarzman Center offers staff-led tours of Shining Light on Truth: Black Live at Yale & in New Haven, free, open to the public, and no registration is required. Simply meet inside the Rotunda at the corner of College and Grove Streets. Come see history illuminated and voices restored to the center of the story!
