Event Description:
Design for America (DFA) invites local middle-schoolers to learn about modern architectural design and urban landscape layout. Over the course of three workshops, students will use design thinking to look at contemporary ways in which architects from around the world build cities and layout streets in innovative, sustainable, and strategic ways. Students can draw on their own experiences with city spaces in their community to construct, design, and layout their own buildings and cities.
Open to New Haven, West Haven, and Orange students in grades 6-8.
