The Way I See It: Photography Workshop is a free, eight-day summer residential program where students stay in the dorms and learn photographic techniques from photographers and artists using professional digital cameras. At the heart of the program is storytelling and finding your own voice through photography. Students leave this immersive workshop with not only a set of technical skills but also a new way of seeing themselves and the world around them. Participating students will have continued access to the cameras after the summer workshop and the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities during the 2023-2024 academic year. No experience with photography required for this summer program.
The dates for this year’s summer program are June 24-July 1. The program will again be held on Yale University’s campus in compliance with university, local, and state and federal health and safety guidelines. The Way I See It: Photography Workshop upholds a strict attendance policy and only considers students who can commit to attending every day of the program and staying overnight.
