FEB. 17, 6pm EST: LITTLE ROCK CENTRAL HIGH: 50 YEARS LATER: A watershed moment in the civil rights movement occurred when federal troops enforced Brown v. Board of Education at Little Rock Central High School. What is Little Rock’s legacy a half-century later? This film follows the lives of present-day Little Rock students, teachers, and administrators over the course of a year — going inside classrooms, observing assemblies, and visiting students’ homes. Following the movie, Shante Spivey, MS Ed, New York City principal and program director, will lead a discussion on the film and its themes.
