The Pathways Summer Scholars program brings 100 public high school students to study science for two weeks on Yale’s campus.
Pathways Summer Scholars is a free two-week summer science program exclusively for 100 Yale Pathways high school students. Summer Scholars provides an intensive, hands-on science curriculum that emphasizes discovery, critical thinking, and problem solving. Rising seniors have the opportunity to live on campus during the program and engage in a variety of college-prep enrichment activities. In summer 2021, the program will be virtual. Pathways Scholars will take 4-day zoom workshops on topics like Electronic Music & Engineering, Introduction to the Cloud, The Science of Light, Exploring Allergies, Mechanics in Biology, and more! Hands-on science kits will be sent home to students.
Program Eligibility
Must be a Yale Pathways to Science student currently in Grade 9, 10, or 11.
