Join for the opening reception of In the First Person, a new exhibition at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Marking the 45th anniversary of the initial videotaping by the Holocaust Survivors Film Project—a grassroots New Haven community initiative that evolved into the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimoniesthis exhibit showcases powerful excerpts from survivor testimonies and historical materials documenting Jewish efforts to record anti-Jewish persecution. The exhibition offers insight into the legacy and impact of the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies in a presentation of videos alongside a display of books, pamphlets, manuscripts, documents, and other items from the collections of Yale Library.
