The Physics of... is a recurring program hosted by Yale Society of Physics Students (SPS) that aims to introduce local students to specialized topics in science. For each event, there are two themes -- that's two lessons, with a break in between! This year, the themes are:
- The Physics of Circuits - Students will learn about fundamental concepts that dictate how our everyday electronic devices function. In particular, students will learn about the relationship between current, voltage, and resistance, and how we can use simple devices to harness electricity.
- The Physics of the Future - Students will dive into the world of modern physics and learn about phenomena that break our expectations. They'll also discover real-world applications of these ideas and see how theoretical topics can really shape current technological innovations.
The registration link will be sent to eligible students via email.
Open to Pathways Scholars in grades 9-12.
