Partnering for the Arts
Visual arts students from Yale’s partnered Betsy Ross Arts Magnet Middle School visit the Yale University Art Gallery monthly as part of a tailored after-school museum club program to engage with art and learn about its history and practice. These visits involve students spending time at the gallery with their parents to observe and analyze artworks, fostering their subjective understanding of art and reinforcing the idea that they belong in art-oriented spaces. The program is organized by one of Betsy Ross’s art teachers and aims to deepen the students’ connection to visual arts.
