Yale Pathways Research Internships

Host Lab Application for Summer 2025

Program Dates: June 30 - August 15 (7 weeks, Mon-Thurs, ~32 hours per week in lab)

Yale Pathways Research Internships (YPRI) connect New Haven, West Haven, and Orange Public High School students in Yale Pathways to Science to laboratory research internships at Yale University. Student interns participate in a 7-week summer research experience, attend weekly professional development workshops, and receive small group mentoring outside of the host laboratory. The YPRI team supports both the interns and host labs during all stages of the internship to facilitate a rewarding experience for everyone. We assist labs by providing administrative, logistical, and project planning support, including registration of minors in EHS Integrator.

Primary Mentor Information
This is the person who will be working most closely with the student on a daily basis in the lab. This is usually a graduate student or postdoc.

Note: Primary mentors will meet with us once a month starting in March in order to prepare for the internship and develop a community of practice around effective mentorship of local public school students. If you are the PI and do not have a primary mentor identified at this time, we will need a solidified person by February 5.
