Resonance is an annual conference hosted by Yale Synapse that allows local high school students to dive into the excitement of scientific discovery. Students engage in hands-on classes led by Yale undergraduates, covering topics from chromatin regulation and public health outbreaks to the physics of gymnastics. They also attend a keynote lecture from a Yale professor and participate in an event-wide competition. Resonance 2025 offers an inspiring, interactive experience for students to explore scientific concepts, think creatively, and uncover new ideas!

Students will be randomly assigned to 2 out of 5 classes taught by Yale students. Click here to view the full class descriptions:

  1. Chromatin Regulation: A Culinary Comparison
  2. Outbreak Architects: How to Build (and Break) a Pandemic
  3. Flips, Forces, and “Fysics”
  4. The Universe
  5. Evolution, reproduction, and seed dispersal in plants (Title not yet finalized)
