Synapse’s Resonance

Event Time:
Saturday, December 7, 2019 - 9:00am
Location:
17 Hillhouse Avenue
New Haven, CT 6520
Event Description:

Resonance is an annual full-day science event for high school students. The event is hosted by Synapse, a Yale College organization. Join us for a day of hands-on demonstrations, presentations by Yale College and Graduate students, and the opportunity to engage in small-group discussions on overcoming adversities in the field of science. Breaking away from traditional scientific teaching, Resonance presents science in a way that is applicable to our daily lives and future goals of pursuing diverse careers in science. What is science exactly? Where did it come from? Rather than telling you, let us immerse you in all Yale has to offer for a whole day. By the end, we promise science will resonate with you.
Many different communities at Yale, including Pathways to Science, Yale Scientific Magazine, Splash at Yale, and Yale Admissions, are collaborating to make Resonance happen.
Free admission. Open to grades 9-12. Some spaces are reserved for Pathways scholars. Registrations opens in mid-November at onhsa.yale.edu/resonance2019
