Discover the invisible universe at Yale’s Wright Laboratory! At this event, Pathways students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the state-of-the-art Wright Laboratory and undertake hands-on activities that reveal how Wright Lab researchers and each of you can make the invisible visible!  The Wright Lab is advancing frontiers of the fundamental of physics through a broad research program in nuclear, particle, and astrophysics. Research includes precision studies of neutrinos, searches for dark matter, investigations of the building blocks and interactions of matter, observations of the early Universe and more. Wright Lab has been transformed to house a unique combination of state-of-the-art research facilities, technical infrastructure, and interaction spaces. It provides critical research support to develop novel scientific instrumentation, and to build and conduct experiments exploring the physics of the visible and invisible Universe. Come see this new, exciting world and see for yourself!
Free admission. Open exclusively to Pathways Students Grades 6-8. Registration to open in late February at onhsa.yale.edu/wright2020
Directions: The entrance for the Wrigth Laboratory is in Yale Lot 16 at the corner of Humphrey Street and Whitney Avenue. Please enter and proceed down the drive and take a RIGHT. Wright lab will be in front of you and drop off will be there. Please keep a lookout for Pathways staff.
