Event Description:

Join us for another installment of Ask A Scientist Tuesday at 5pm. In nature as in life, heroes exist in unexpected places. In this talk, we describe three strange but wonderful little heroes that exist all around us. As we’ll see, within each of your cells and under leaves in the park, tiny dump trucks are keeping us alive, crafty bacteria are generating electricity when they breathe, and peculiar little animals are battling the elements by playing dead. Join the Science in the News Team to learn how these odd survivor stories can teach us about human health and industry.

At this weekly series, you’ll have lots of opportunities to ask questions about science and how to pursue a career in science!

Open to Grades 7-12. Registration is required here. You will get a unique zoom link for the event upon registration.
