New Voices in Theater: Introduction to Playwriting

Attention creative writers, theater fans, and playwrights! Are you looking to express yourself in new ways? To be challenged, to laugh, and to work hard with a group of other creative high schoolers? The New Voices in Theater Playwriting Program is hosted by Pathways to Arts & Humanities and run by graduate students from the Yale School of Drama.
During this introductory showcase, you will learn the art of playwriting, work with Yale School of Drama directors, playwrights, and dramaturgs, and have fun! Come with your favorite pen or pencil… and get ready to write! Students who attend this event will have the opportunity to apply for the New Voices in Theater Playwriting Program. No theater experience necessary.
