By the end of this event, you’ll be an expert at tracking the political uses of different historical objects and ideas across time. Discover, for example, how the “Don’t Tread On Me” flag transformed from a Revolution-era war symbol into a banner for contemporary gun rights activists, and why projects like the 1776 Commission and the 1619 Project have fought so hard over what you learn in your history classes.
